Calgary Coalition on Domestic Violence changes name to Ethnocultural Nexus on Domestic Violence.

The structure is designed to allow the Coalition to advocate without self-interest for the diverse concerns of ethnocultural and racial minority women and their families who experience abuse.

As such, the coalition is not a registered society but rather is a collaborative effort of its member groups. Together, members form the Coalition's Council of Representatives which provides ongoing direction and support to Coalition staff and to each other. Council members are the conduit of information and resources between their agencies, Coalition member groups and Coalition staff.

To ensure fiscal and governance accountability, Calgary Immigrant Women's Association (CIWA) serves as the Coalition's fiscal agent. The relationship is defined through a formal agreement that is regularly reviewed and updated.
