All ethnocultural
and racial minority women and their families, are free of
domestic violence, safe and secure, functioning as productive
members of society.

The Calgary
Coalition on Family Violence pursues accessible, equitable and
effective services for ethnocultural and racial minority women
and their families who experience abuse and violence.

-
Ethnocultural and racial minority women and their families
suffer unique systemic and personal barriers that exacerbate
their experience of abuse.
-
The most effective responses to domestic violence focus on
prevention, the safety and choice of victims and the
accountability of perpetrators.
-
The reduction of violence is the shared responsibility of
services, policy makers, and individuals in their families and
communities.
-
As service providers, we have the responsibility to work
collaboratively to ensure accountable, equitable and
comprehensive services.
-
It matters how we work together. We embrace and honour, cultural
diversity, build respectful relationships, and use feminist
participatory process.
